The fire pump set configuration of Shanghai Tengsheng perfectly follows the core principle of "reliability first, economy balanced" in the fire protection system, with dual power guarantee: electricity (main)+diesel (backup), ensuring that the system still has power in case of any power failure (power outage or motor failure). This is the lifeline of the fire protection system.

The flow and head of the main and backup pumps must be consistent: the rated parameters of the electric pump and diesel engine pump must be the same to ensure that the backup pump can completely replace the main pump in operation.

Separation of voltage regulation and main battle: Separate the functions of "voltage regulation" and "fire extinguishing". Using a low-power stabilizing pump to handle daily tasks protects the high-power main pump from frequent start stop damage, greatly improving the reliability and service life of the main pump, and reducing operating energy consumption.

Standby status (no fire):
The stabilizing pump group continues to work, maintaining the pressure of the fire protection pipeline network between the design high pressure P2 and the design low pressure P1 through frequent start stop operations.
Both the electric main pump and the diesel engine standby pump are in automatic standby mode.

In the early stages of a fire (with the first nozzle or fire hydrant open):
The pressure in the pipeline network is rapidly decreasing.
The stabilizing pump started immediately, but due to its extremely low flow rate, it was unable to prevent the pressure drop.
When the pressure drops to the starting pressure P3 of the main pump (which is lower than P1), the pressure switch sends a signal.

Firefighting combat status:
Under normal circumstances, the control cabinet receives a start signal and automatically starts the horizontal electric fire pump. The electric main pump operates at full capacity, providing rated high flow and high head to meet fire extinguishing needs. At this time, the stabilizing pump usually stops automatically.

Extreme situation (mains power failure):

If the control cabinet receives a start signal but detects a loss of mains power, it will automatically start the diesel engine fire pump. The diesel engine pump reaches its rated speed within seconds and takes over as the main battle pump.
 

After extinguishing the fire:
Firefighters manually stop the main pump (electric or diesel engine) on site.
After the system pressure is restored, the stabilizing pump set automatically resumes operation, restoring the system to standby mode.
